Introduction:
After the decline of the Mauryan Empire in 185 BC, several small and large states and dynasties emerged in India.
This phase is known as the Post-Mauryan Period.
Important dynasties of this period included the Shungas, Kanvas, Satavahanas, Indo-Greeks, Shakas, Parthians, and Kushanas.

⚔️ Shunga Dynasty (185–73 BC)
- Founder – Pushyamitra Shunga, who killed the last Mauryan ruler Brihadratha.
